Overcoming Imperialism
Australia has already overcome imperialism and stands as an independent country in charge of their own internal affairs. The arrival of the British in Australia provided the land with a chance to industrialize, but it also destroyed much of the culture of the indigenous people who had inhabited the land for thousands of years beforehand. Some Aboriginal traditions are still preserved, but the native population is arguably less than it was before British colonization and many parts of the Aboriginal culture were lost when they were killed in the ignorance and greed of the white settlers.
